BUT with that said I don't like to sell things short. Don't particularly need loudest system, but also would love the ability for it to not distort if I want to bring it loud and rock out.īudget: I'm married and my wife thinks I'm too old for this so the less the better, which is why'd I would like to reuse my amps. Preferences: I typically listen to Rock/Metal and underground country type stuff. I would like to reuse the Directed monoblock for the door speakers and then I'd be pushing 50W at 4 Ohms, but that depends on what speakers I select. Was going to reuse the LFA2 for the 10" and run it off one channel for 450W and then have another channel if I wanted to run a second sub. ![]() I will say in my last system about 3-4 years ago I had a set of ID components and I thought the Tweeters seemed bright, but I suppose I could have turned that down?Īmps: I currently have 3 amps: Directed 350d, RF 201S, and Power Acoustik LFA2-2200. Reviews seem to be hard to find and any thread recommending one set seems to always have someone recommending another. I was thinking 6.5 components in the front and 6.5 coax in the rear. I would like to keep the tonality of speakers similar and I don't know how I feel about mixing and matching brands of speaker between the front and rear and dash. I do not know if I should replace the dash speaker or not. Speakers: Currently there is a 3.5" in dash, 6x9's in front doors with Tweeter above dash, and 6.5's in rear door. Still need to measure but basing off precedents I am looking at either 2 Sundown SD-2 8's or 1 SD-3 10". ![]() Sub: This would be going underneath the rear seat so am limited to space. ![]() With this headunit I'm assuming I may need some sort DSP or EQ, but not really sure where to start there. I know that limits me in some places so not sure how much upgrading I should do to get great, or even good, sound. I also do most my listening through Spotify w/ Bluetooth. Due to this I don't want to replace this. I have a 2015 F150 that I would love to upgrade the sound system in, eventually.
